LoadOut

Chrome extension · Early access

From a blank tab to real work in two seconds.

LoadOut turns Chrome's new tab into a home base for your projects: the right links, tabs and next step for whatever you're working on, one click away.

Free. No account. Your projects stay in your browser.

How it works

Organized around projects, not websites

Everything in LoadOut hangs off what you're building. Once you see the four layers, the whole thing clicks.

What's in the kit

Everything a project needs, one tab away

Modes for every kind of work

Design, build, client calls: the same project, with a different set of links and snippets for each job. Switch in one click.

One-click workspaces

Save the tabs you always work with. One click opens them grouped and colored, loading each only when you click it, and closing them lands you back on the project.

Save from anywhere

Right-click any page, link or highlighted quote and file it to a project with a reason: research, competitor, content idea. Three weeks later, you'll know why you saved it.

Add links without typing

Drag bookmarks straight in, paste a batch of addresses, pick from the tabs you have open, or turn a whole bookmark folder into a project in one go.

Back in one keystroke

Wherever you've wandered, one shortcut takes you home to the project you were in. Or type lo and a project name straight into the address bar.

Time, if you want it

Turn on a timer for the projects you care about and see where your week actually went. It pauses when you step away, and exports to CSV if you bill by the hour.

Private by design

Your projects never leave your browser

LoadOut stores everything in Chrome on your computer. Export a backup file any time.

Questions

Before you ask

How is this different from a tab manager?

Tab managers save whatever you happened to have open. LoadOut starts from the project: the links you always need, a saved set of tabs you open on purpose, and the one next thing to do. Saved tabs are one part of it, not the whole product.

Does it replace my new tab page?

Yes, that's where it lives. Chrome asks you to confirm the change the first time you open a new tab. You can go back any time by turning the extension off.

Where does my data live?

In Chrome's storage on your computer, and nowhere else. There's no account and no sync. Export a backup file from Settings, and import it to move to another computer.

Which browsers does it work in?

LoadOut is built and tested for Chrome on desktop. Other Chromium browsers, such as Edge and Brave, should work too.

Is it free?

LoadOut will have a free plan. Everyone who joins early access gets Pro free, for life, as a thank-you for helping shape it.

When can I try it?

Early access opens soon. Join the list and you'll get one email with the install link the day it's ready.
